Just discovered you, think you’re lovely. You gave me the push I needed to jump into this whole WO hair routine, since baking soda and vinegar “no poo” definitely backfired for me. Just curious: I actually knew the stores you mentioned in the post – are you in Canada?

Thanks for the inspiration m’dear. Stay shiny!

Thank you for the kind words! I hope WO is still going well for you. I was living in Canada for about a year until a few months ago. It worked out in favor of this blog, as I got to find my favorite no poo products & where to purchase them while I was there, so I can recommend that info to Canadian readers. :)

I’ve followed your posts and been no poo (W.O.) for nearly 3 months now ☺ do you have any advice regarding itchy scalp?

Hi Wendy. Was your scalp itchy prior to going WO, or is this a newer thing? Is your scalp dry? That can be a source of itchiness. Are you using any products or dry shampoo on it? Dry shampoo or other oil-absorbing/removing products can make the situation worse. When we normalize our scalp’s oil production, it can sometimes become susceptible to getting dry since it isn’t over producing oils. If dry scalp is the issue you are having, I recommend applying a drop or two of jojoba oil (or almond oil) to your fingertips and applying it to your scalp (avoiding your roots). It should nourish your scalp and ease up the itchiness pretty quickly if that was the issue.

Just wanted to say thanks for taking the time to create the water-only hair care guide. I’m a long-haired guy, and since trying out the paleo thing last year, i’ve been striving to eliminate un-natural chemicals from my life. Struggled with unmanageable root grease and dry ends for a while, but since reading your guide (and buying a boar bristle brush) it’s looking way better! The t-shirt drying technique is genius! Hopefully my hair can look as nice as yours.
I also aspired to go to culinary school as a youngster, have been a life-long game nerd, and have been writing songs for the past few years.. i’m sure we’d make great friends in real life!
By the way, curious to hear your music! Have you released anything? If you feel like sharing, send me an email!
    Take care!

Hi Becca! Enjoying your website. I love everything primal and minimalist. I’m trying right now to do the no poo and caveman skin care. I don’t see a link where I can subscribe for email updates. Can you please add me to your subscriber list? Thanks!
